Writing became a way of life for me when I grew up in London. I studied English literature, philosophy and cultural studies at college and university. I wanted to be a published and working poet. Though my dreams were never realized I have since achieved the next best thing — I write about what I love for a living.

I got into wine when I first moved to New York from London and started working at Astor Wines and Spirits. I went on to complete the WSET Advanced Certificate at the International Wine Center, where I earned an A with distinction.

I write for lifestyle publications such as City, Zink and IN New York. I also contribute to a number of trade publications including Cheers, Beverage Dynamics, Beverage Media and Wines From Spain News. My work has also appeared in Vibe, Daily Candy, Lucire, Spain Gourmetour and Where New York.

In addition to byline assignments on wine, cocktails, food and travel, I occasionally write copy for press releases, newsletters and e-letters. Past projects have included writing upbeat copy for Polaner Selections, Astor Wines and Spirits, Sopexa, LVMH and Pernod Ricard.
